Here are a few things I made this weekend:

Another fairy house:
Close up of the butterfly on top. I still need to spray the roof with acrylic sealer and put a ribbon through the loop, so it's almost done:

A card made using a Bella image that I received from the Splitcoast Wish Rak group:

Using my new Kim Hughes stamps:

Here's one that took me 2 weeks to make! The flowers were done about 2 weeks ago and I have been playing with it, trying to get something made, and I finally did:

An altered clothespin I made for my best friend:

A side view of the clothespin:

A wonderful surprise in the mail Friday! An envie full of flowers from the one and only KIM HUGHES!!!! THANK YOU!

And while shopping at Target I saw this awesome stuff from the Mr. Man and Little Mrs. books! I loved reading these when I was a kid and just had to pick this stuff up!

We had a pretty un-eventful weekend. Saturday we went to lunch at Paradise Bakery, did some shopping at Lowe's and Target. Sunday we cleaned and had Darrin's brother, wife and kids over for dinner and games. Now it's time to do some laundry and go to bed!

Bottle cap Bandit!

Darrin pulled out the couches tonight to vacuum behind them, and when we pulled out the love seat, we saw this:

A couple dozen bottle caps were staring us in the face! LOL! The culprit eased his way into the picture at the last second:

HI FELLOW SBS23 SISTAH'S!

Hi Ladies! I'm so happy to be a part of this group again! So here's a little bit about me:

My name is April, I'm 27 and I live in Peoria, Arizona. I've been married for a little over 4 years. We have 5 kitties and 1 doggie. No 2-legged children yet! I LOVE doing creative, artsy stuff! Card making, altering stuff, stamping, coloring, mixed-media,...I just taught myself how to knit and am super excited that I finally figured it out! I used to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, but it quickly became such an expensive venture that I needed to step back for a while! I realized that I could only use one stamp at a time. Some of my absolute favorite stamp companies are Cornish Heritage Farms (Kim Hughes is my favorite!), Stampin' Up!, Hero Arts, PaperTrey Ink, Stampendous!, Autumn Leaves...just to name a couple. Oh, and I have an obsession with collecting the Studio G. $1 stamps also!

In addition to my creative side, I also like taking walks with my dog, watching WAYYYY too much TV, a good movie, blogging, cooking and reading. We love taking mini vacations.....Flagstaff, California and Vegas are the places we frequent often. I also go to school part time and am working towards my Communications Studies degree.

That's pretty much me in a nutshell! I can't wait to meet the rest of you and get you all added to my sidebar!!!!!! :)

So here are a couple things I've made over the past few days:

Here are some thank you notes that I made for some special gals:
Just playing around with some scraps. Not happy with this one at all! :

This card again, not too happy with! I didn't realize the sentiment was going to come out so light when I dumped the glitter on the rub on, but oh well! :

And this one again, made from scraps:

And this is my fairy house that I was talking about in the post yesterday:

hola peeps!

Hello out there! I do have some crafty things to upload, but have been lazy and haven't taken pics. I will tonight! My mom showed me this site....Outside the Margins. Click on the link and check out those fairy houses! Aren't those the cutest? I made one, and it is super cute!!!!! Michael's has these cute birdhouses with these wind chimes on the bottom for 50 cents!!!! I'll post the one I made tonight.

My parents flew to Virginia on Monday, looking for a house to purchase for when they retire.......and they found one today. I'm JEALOUS! I want out of this heat and away from all the construction too!

No other updates really.....I took my 8 year old niece out Saturday, and we got pedicures, went and had lunch and did some shopping. We don't get to see her too often, so when we do we spoil her. :) This Sunday my husband's brother, wife and kids are coming over for dinner, so I'm making my famous "steak in a pot". Oh, last night i wanted to try this new place by our house that just opened up, Rosati's...............OH...MY...GOSH! Not only was it really good, it was inexpensive and the owner was super nice! We got a TON of food (enough for leftovers for dinner tonight) and I would highly recommend this place to anyone that lives near one! Their bread nuggets are super good!!!! So after our feast we took the dog for our usual mile walk, and of course she spotted a bunny and went bonkers!!!!

Hope everyone that visits has a good week!
