Cardabilities Sketch #18-Birthday Bash Info!

Hi everyone! I am so sorry this is 2 days late....however here is the 12/30 Cardabilities reveal:

I used very few supplies on this card, and found that the sketch is so versatile! It will work for any type of card!

Supplies:
Stampin' Up! Whisper White CS
SEI Christmas Mint patter paper
Hot off the Press metal snowflake
Collette Hall greeting stamp ($1 Michael's bin)
Memento black ink
brads

I hope everyone rang in the new year with friends, family, loved ones.......and did it safely! We stayed in and ordered a pizza, and at midnight we lit off some fireworks in the backyard, along with 3/4 of our block! It was a nice night. Today we are headed to Goodyear to meet up with some old coworkers for lunch and then out to a local baby clothing and accessory store to hit up their end of year clearance. Hopefully we can find some things we need on the cheap!

Now Wednesday is a very special month for Cardabilities......it's their one year anniversary! Every Wednesday a new sketch will be posted along with prizes and giveaways!!! I am really looking forward to it and I hope you are too!

Hi everyone! It's another reveal day over at Cardabilities:

The pattern paper is from a collection pack by Cosmo Cricket, the layered frame and flowers are from Cricuit, SU stamp set and ribbon from Michaels. I outlined it all with Colorbox ink. This was a great sketch to work with, I had a lot of fun making this card! Fun times last week!

Hey everyone!!! So a couple really cool things to share. First................

IT'S A BOY!!! We weren't supposed to find out until mid November, but they bumped our appointment up to last Friday (perfect timing because my mom was in town) and we got to find out sooner than later!

Second bit of news......we took a private class with Dina Wakley in her home and she taught us a gel resist technique and we made this really cute accordian album:

She is such an awesome teacher and wonderful person and was just so nice to open up her home to us (Thanks, Dina!) She is teaching a class at a local stamp store next week that I would love to go to, but we have friends coming into town so i'll catch it next time ;)

One last pic.......my mom has a new boyfriend, our puppy Jackson. See, he weighs 90 pounds, is a year old and has no idea that he is too big to sit in laps and lay on people, yet he does it anyhow. Here he is waking my mom up one morning :) They are in love.

Cardabilities Reveal Day!

Hey everyone! Today is the reveal day over at Cardabilities for the new design team. Boy, there is a ton of talent going on over there. Here is the sketch and then my sample:

So for my card I used pattern paper from My Mind's Eye Boo to You collection. I didn't have a scallop circle punch big enough, so I improvised and punched a bunch of tiny circles out and turned it into a scallop border around the sentiment. Speaking of sentiment, the sentiment stamp with bat is from the $1 bin at Michaels. I used Diamond Glaze to fill in the circles on the paper to give it a little dimension. The three shapes clustered are card stock punch-outs from the same paper collection.

Don't forget to stop by Cardabilities to not only see everyone's great work but to submit your own work based on the sketch!
