Unscripted Sketch # 86

Hi everyone! It's Saturday, and that means another sketch at Unscripted Sketches:

This was a tough one for me to work with. I don't usually have so much blank space on a card, but I think it works!

Today we have a repair man coming over to fix the spring in our garage door....then it's house cleaning, yard work and giving the dog a bath.

I still can't believe Christmas is only a week away, and I still don't have all of my shopping done! My husbands gifts have all been purchased...he is so hard to shop for because he always says he doesn't want anything! My best friend is coming out for a couple days to spend the holidays with us and I am so thankful for that! Alright, must get off the computer and get some cleaning done!

Unscripted Sketches # 85

Hey everyone! Here is today's Unscripted Sketch:

I pulled out some REALLY old paper for this one....so old I don't even know who makes it!

I am hoping to have a relaxing weekend. After a VERY stressful Friday I want to just sleep! We were woken up at 4am by our dog "getting sick" in our bedroom.....then I come home to check on him and the garage door won't open. After taking him to the vet and spending hundreds of dollars (again)...he should be on the mend soon :) I would love to be able to get one good night's sleep without having to wake up every 2 hours.....but I don't see that coming ANY TIME SOON :)

I hope everyone has a great weekend and don't forget to stop by Unscripted Sketches!

Unscripted Sketches # 84 and an update on the baby

Hi all! Sorry this post is so late. Here is this weekend's Unscripted Sketch & my sample:

The pattern paper is all Scenic Route, the flowers and center are Heidi Swapp and the sentiment is a Kim Hughes line from Cornish Heritage Farms.

On Friday we were scheduled for a repeat anatomy ultrasound. When we originally went back in mid November everything looked fine except the tech had a hard time getting a clear image of the spine, so to rule out any possible issues the Dr. ordered a repeat. Everything turned out just fine :) Here is a good image of the baby. His legs are bent and up towards his stomach:

We are 25 weeks and he weighs in at 1 pound, 12 ounces and is a little on the big side according to the tech....but of course nothing to worry about at this stage :) He's nice and healthy! He has been kicking and punching up a storm these last couple weeks and it's so neat to be able to see those movements on the outside finally :)

Don't forget to head on over to Unscripted Sketches to play along with us this week!

Unscripted Sketches # 83

Happy Saturday! Here is another great Unscripted Sketch:

I pulled out some old Making Memories Noteworthy paper to make the card. The antiqued ledger was also from the collection and I gave it some definition by putting some dimensional adhesive on the back. The lace, flowers & rhinestones are all from Michael's.

I hope everyone in the US had a great Thanksgiving this year. We spent our day with my inlaws--ate lots of food and played some board games. This weekend I have absolutely nothing on the agenda other than resting and making a few cards!

Don't forget to come on over to Unscripted Sketches and join in on this week's sketch!

Unscripted Sketch # 76

Hey everyone! Here is this week's Unscripted Sketch and my example:

I made almost an identical card like this last year and found the left over papers and decided to make a similar one since the sketch resembled the card I made beforehand.

WCMD, Unscripted Sketch and some ramblings

Hey everyone! Sorry this is late, but what can you do. So Saturday was World Card Making day and a new Unscripted Sketch reveal:

I made a card similar to this a while back and just took a different approach.

My card making has slowed down considerably lately. With not feeling well and trying to pack up my studio to make room for baby, I just don't have a lot of time. But I am still cranking them out for my design team commitments :)

So last Monday we had another monthly dr. visit, and we got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time! Such a neat thing to hear if you've never heard it before :) At the end of the month my mom is coming out for a week to hang out and help me pack up my scrap room. I also made our next dr. appt for the same time she is here so she will get to go to that with me.

We have purchased some cute bibs, onesies and misc. clearance items for the baby. We don't get to find out the sex until 11/17...some crap about the insurance company not covering a full gender & anatomy sonogram until 6 months along. Whatever :)

Unscripted Sketch #74

Hi everyone, and happy Saturday! Here is todays Unscripted Sketch:

Details:
Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock
Basic Grey Max & Whiskers paper and cat die cut
Colluzzle cutting system
Michael's dollar bin stamp
Colorbox Chestnut Roan chalk ink
Stampin' Up! Dimensionals

Today my husband and I are taking a day trip up to Prescott. It's one of the few weekend days that we have off together, so a mini road trip was in order. It's still hotter than heck here so I am looking forward to walking around outside and not sweating my butt off!

Unscripted Sketches #73

Happy Saturday! Here is today's Unscripted Sketch:

The pattern paper and die cut goofy pumpkin are from MME. The ribbon is from Walmart (I think!) and the stamp is from the $1 bin at Michaels. I gave it a little more dimension by adding Glossy Accents to the word Halloween in the sentiment. Although it doesn't show up well in the pic, it's super shiny IRL!

In other news, yesterday we hit the 14 week mark! Less than 6 more months to go! In about 2 weeks we should hopefully be finding out if it's a girl or boy. We have the nursery furniture all picked out, we just need to decide on a bedding set once we know the sex. I am not getting nearly as sick as I have been getting, so hopefully things are on the up and up!

Unscripted Sketches #71

Good morning!! Here is today's Unscripted Sketch and my example:

Supplies used:
Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock
October Afternoon Thrift Shop PP
Unity June KOM stamp
Colorbox Chestnut Roan chalk ink
flowers-stash

In other news...we had an appointment for the quad screen and had an untrasound done on one of the big machines....so here is baby Hall at 12 weeks:

So much clearer than the other ultrasounds we have had done at the regular dr's office!! You can totally make out the head, nose, legs, umbilical cord and knee!! It's heart rate was 177 so everything is coming along fine. Less than 6 months to go!!!

Sunday, August 1, 2010

Hi everyone! Sorry this is a day late...yesterday was pretty hectic. Here is today's Unscripted Sketch:

I used Echo Park collection pack purchased from Thoughts 2 Paper, and the twine and loop brads are from my stash.

Stay tuned this week for a couple announcements!

Unscripted Sketches #65

Happy Saturday Everyone! Gosh, it's been a couple weeks since I posted! First off, here is this week's Unscripted Sketch and my example:

And these pictures are the newest addition to our family. Meet Jackson, a 1 year old Boxer boy:

A co worker was looking for someone to take him...she lives in a 1 bedroom apartment and just doesn't have the time to give him the exercise and attention he needs. We took him for a few days as a trial run and ended up keeping him. He's such a sweet boy and very playful! He's slowly learning how things are done around here, and he's fitting in just fine. :)

So other than bringing a new dog home, not much other news......at least none that I can share right now. Stay tuned though in 2 more weeks, and i'll have something very exciting to share :)
