Hi everyone! April here, and I have a tag to share with you today:

The pattern paper used is from Nikki Sivils Flaming Butterfly 6x6 pad (the cut out frog and hearts) found in the Thoughts 2 Paper store. The flower stamp is from Unity, and the sentiment is Unity as well. The tag is a die cut from Thoughts 2 Paper. I inked the edges with a black ink pad and tied off the top with some ribbon from my scrap bucket.

Thanks for looking today!

Thank You gift card holder & play time with mommy!

Happy Sunday everyone! Today I wanted to share an item that was made using the gift card die found in the Thoughts 2 Paper store.

These dies are so fun to work with! They come in a variety of shapes and colors, and can be used for so many different occasions!

Supplies Used:

gift card holder die cut template
MME pattern paper
Bazzill cardstock
Unity Ippity Stamp
Studio G Stamp
Studio G Inks
Stickles glitter in Stardust

So yesterday my mom came over and we hung out pretty much all day. We had plans, but they fell through...so we decided to make it a day just the two of us and we could not have had a better time. We did lunch at Paradise, went to the hardware store and bought "art making supplies", saw a robot kid at Target, farted around my house, watched my mom for the SECOND time get a nickel stuck in my sewing machine, ate dinner, and finished up or "Dina" journals....which I'll be posting mine later this week. She got to take her class this past week and I am so jealous because I really REALLY wanted to go..but had to work :(

Tonight we are doing dinner at my parents....sort of a last dinner before they move in 6 days. They are VERY excited to finally be moving...and I am happy for them. Yes, it will be sad because I won't be able to call my dad over to help fix things, or have shopping excursions with my mom....but I'm happy knowing they will be happier there. I'll have to find a new art partner in crime!!

Happy Easter Sunday & blog candy winner!

Well, since I only had one comment, Jane is the lucky winner! Jane, I will mail out your goodies when I mail out the circle rolodex :)

This weekend I was able to get a handful of cards made. I just started pulling out paper and stamps and came up with these:

Today we hit up the in-laws for a late lunch. Then my parents came over and we ate dinner, played a game and watched TV. Now we're watching Undercover Boss. I'll probably catch up on Gene Simmons Family Jewels and Kendra :)

Hope everyone had a good Easter!!

Simple card and swap stuff

I had a bit of extra time tonight, so I decided to ink up my March Unity kit and make a simple card:

I paper pieced the umbrella and colored in her jacket and skin with Prisma colored pencils and OMS. The paper is from DCWV Mi Casa stack and the rub-ons are Karen Foster.
This is a 4x4 page that I made for our monthly swap on our Yahoo group. April's theme is kite, so I sewed together a kite using scraps of upholstery fabric. The page itself is made from paper bags melted together.
This is also for a monthly swap in our Yahoo group. This month's Rolodex theme was circles.

Unscripted Sketches #48

Good morning all! Here is today's Unscripted Sketch:

I used December & February Unity Stamps, American Crafts paper and colored it all in with my Copics. I really like the bold colors and am pleased with how it came out!

I was going to post a mid week update since I posted a while back that I was going to be a better blogger, but we were in the home stretch of doing our tile and I had to study for a mid term, so time just got away from me! I am on my slower computer right now, but Sunday I am going to post the after pictures of the house.

Today my mom is coming over and we are going to do some shopping, probably lunch and then she's making me dinner :)

Don't forget to stop by Unscriped Sketches to check out the design work!

Unscripted Sketches # 47

I am so sorry this is late everyone! We haven't had internet for 2 days due to moving all of the stuff out of the computer room and having to disconnect our modem, etc. Here is this week's Unscripted Sketch:

This sketch also has a piggyback challenge....to incorporate a paint chip/sample! The yellow band on the left is a paint chip sample from Walmart. I used a white eraser to remove the color names off it. The pattern paper is K and Company and the stamp sets are from Unity.

I just got back from a great friend's baby shower. This is #2, and it's a boy. She received a lot of great stuff :)

I hope you'll come check out everyone's work over at Unscripted Sketches this week and set aside some time to participate!

Sunday Rewind-and a sneak peek of goodies!

I am so thankful this week is over! It's been crappy because I have been sick. But it only lasted about 3 days!

Our friend that is doing our tile had to go back to Maine for a family emergency, so right now we are at a standstill until Tuesday.

Since our kitchen is in shambles and we can't use the oven, and we have no furniture in the living room, we have been eating a ton of take out in the comfort of our bedroom :\ I did make us crock pot food Saturday night and it was delish!

I got quite a bit of crafting done Saturday though! I am working on a huge project right now...and although I can't reveal all of the details, I am able to give a few sneak peeks below:

I will be able to do full reveal soon......... :)

Well, we are leaving my in-laws right now (thank God) so I will end this by saying goodnight!

Unscripted Sketches # 45

Happy Saturday everyone! Here is today's Unscripted Sketch!

I used some My Mind's Eve paper I picked up a while back at Hobby Lobby. Paired it with February's Unity Stamp of the Month for February, twine and American Crafts stamp. I love how vibrant the paper is!

Today is an extremely busy day for us. We are FINALLY getting tile put in! We have been waiting for over 8 months.......and now that we got our tax return it's finally happening!

Also, my great friend Liz is coming into town today.......we are going to crop a little bit tonight at our friend Jan's and just have a good time. Unfortunately I will only be able to stay for a couple hours since I have to come back home to help move more furniture........but any time with them is great!

Don't forget to head on over to Unscripted Sketches!

Unscripted Sketches #40

Hola! I was a pretty crappy blogger this week, and I posted and committed to posting more! No more excuses!!! So here is today's Unscripted Sketch and sample:

Again, I had to use a Unity Stamp Set! I paired the stamp set with some scrap paper and Stampin Up Wild Wasabai cardstock.

I don't have much time today as I am going to be out at the quilt and sewing show today, but will have my Sunday rewind tomorrow. :)

Unscripted Sketch #36

Here is today's sketch and my sample. I have used this paper before on a previous sketch and thought it would go great for a little boy card. I am planning on giving this to my good friend who is expecting in April. The paper is Making Memories, the stamps are Unity, the fabric is from my stash. Liz---we are going to do this when I see you in a week!!! :)
Today we are having my parents over for dinner, and Sunday we are taking my neice to the zoo. I can't believe Christmas is going to be here in less than a week! I have most of my shopping done except for a couple gift cards.......and that's it! Oh, and maybe a few more stocking stuffers for the hubs.
Don't forget to come and check out all of the wonderful creations at Unscripted Sketches this week!!!

Unscripted Sketches #35-blog candy update

Happy Saturday! Here is today's Unscripted Sketch and my example:

Again, I used Unity Stamps from the November kit. Have I said how much I love their kits?!?

I was disappointed to see that no one entered in for my blog candy last week :( I will be offering up some more again in the future.

Today I'll most likely be hanging out with my mom for a bit and will hit up Michael's to get some ink and adhesive. Tonight I am going to a friends holiday party. That's pretty much it.

Don't forget to come over to Unscripted Sketches and check out what everyone's done!

Happy Saturday and Unscripted Sketches #32

Happy Saturday everyone!!! Here is today's Unscripted Sketch and my sample:

I used my October Unity Stamps for this card. The pattern paper is from a Basic Grey 6x6 pad, and I used my Stampin' Up! markers to color the tree stamp. It was pretty time consuming since there are so many little elements to the tree, but I had fun with it.

Today I am headed out with my mom. My sewing machine is messed up and I am taking it to get fixed today. We will hit up some shops in downtown Glendale and probably do lunch. Tonight I am going with my friend to find out the sex of her baby. She and her husband are hoping for a boy, so we will finally get to see what it will be tonight!

Please don't forget to stop by Unscripted Sketches and check out what all of the other designers have whipped up for you today!

Feeling much better!

Hi everyone,

I have been so sick since Friday, and it just progressively got work throughout the week. So after missing 2 days of work, I bumped up my Dr. appt to Wednesday. Not only was my asthma all out of wack, I also had a bit of bronchitis and a stomach bug. So after some antibiotics and steroids, I feel almost 100% better. I still have a bit of a cough, but it's nothing like it was.

My house is such a pigsty right now. When I'm sick, I don't do anything except sleep and make messes. It honestly looks like a family of 9 lives in our house......and it's only 2 of us. So tonight after we get off work we're gonna spend a couple hours cleaning and straightening.
One bit of craftiness I wanted to share. I signed up for the Unity Stamp Kit last month and just loved the set, so when they gave us a sneak peek of November's kit, I was head over heels! Look at these rockin' stamps:

The picture isn't going to do them justice. Go check out the Unity blog and see what the designers have done with this set. I can't wait until it ships next week!!! OH! speaking of Unity stamps...my best bud Liz is now a distributor for them! So go check out the announcement on her blog and stay tuned!!!

So what is everyone doing this weekend? Darrin and I are going to a Broadway play for one of his classes on Saturday night. Saturday afternoon I have to go drop some stuff off at my mom's, and that's about all I am doing this weekend. Don't forget to come on over Saturday morning for the newest Unscripted sketch. :)
