Baby Update :)

As of Friday I am 33 weeks along.  We had an appointment 3 weeks ago as well as an ultrasound to check on his growth and position in my belly.  He weighed in at a whopping 4.3 pounds and is in the 76th percentile.  The doctor told us that of course he was running a bit on the big side, scheduled us for a repeat ultrasound for mid February to see how he is at that point.  If he keeps growing at such a rapid pace, she was talking about possibly being induced. NO THANK YOU.   Women have been giving birth to "big" babies for years. No need to rush the process if there is nothing physically or medically wrong :)

So on Saturday we did another 4-d ultrasound and here is our baby:

Seems very content in there right!  He would always have a hand or two near his face so in most of the pics that's what we got shots of.  

His nursery is 3/4 of the way done. We have received many, many wonderful hand me downs such as clothes, car seat, stroller, crib, etc.  Mom has been working on several projects for him such as books and quilts and they are coming along great.  

So there you have it, a recent update on baby Dylan.  I am due in less than 7 weeks, and soon I'll be posting real baby pics!

So after joining in on Julie's Art Journal Every Day, I had every intention of sitting down every night and creating pages. Well, life gets in the way and I did not get that opportunity this week. Since I wasn't doing anything constructive this weekend, I decided to sit down for about an hour and pound out some pages for my journal:

I hope everyone rang in the new year with friends, family, loved ones.......and did it safely! We stayed in and ordered a pizza, and at midnight we lit off some fireworks in the backyard, along with 3/4 of our block! It was a nice night. Today we are headed to Goodyear to meet up with some old coworkers for lunch and then out to a local baby clothing and accessory store to hit up their end of year clearance. Hopefully we can find some things we need on the cheap!

Now Wednesday is a very special month for Cardabilities......it's their one year anniversary! Every Wednesday a new sketch will be posted along with prizes and giveaways!!! I am really looking forward to it and I hope you are too!

Art Journaling Every Day

Hey everyone! So I wanted to share a new venture I am participating in. I have been following Julie's blog for quite some time, and love her work. She is starting up an online collaboration called Art Journaling Every Day. I HIGHLY recommend you check it out. I am such a slacker when it comes to finishing projects like this, so one of my "resolutions" (I only have 2 for 2011) is to start and complete an art journal. I may not finish a page in a day, but as long as I can just set aside a few minutes each day and do SOMETHING in a journal, i'll be on my way.

So how was everyone's Christmas? Our was great :) My BFF came into town, we chilled with my husband's family for a couple hours on Christmas Day, then headed home and enjoyed home made lasagna with my brother. When asked what I wanted for Christmas, my answer was the same...........stuff for the baby. He made out very well this year, and even though he isn't here to enjoy the gifts yet, he soon will be. Less than 12 weeks to go!

Unscripted Sketches # 87 and a farewell

Here is today's Unscripted Sketch and my sample. It is a bitter sweet post for me today because I have decided to resign from Unscripted Sketches. It was a hard decision to make, but with the arrival of our son in 12 weeks, I need to focus on him and getting ready for his birth and I don't have as much time to dedicate to the team as I used to. I have had a wonderful run with them for the last year and a half, and have made some great friendships along the way that I will always cherish :)

I also want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas today. We are heading over to my in laws for a couple hours and then back to our house for dinner with my brother and BFF.
