Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the mom's out there! Tonight my mom came over--I made her dinner, gave her a Starbuck's gift card and "Java or Tea" album purchased from Secret Scrapper. Then we played some games and had a really nice time. This is the card I made for my mom. It's pretty much the same as the Thank You one posted here, I just loved it so much I had to make one for my mom.
I finished the last of my cards for my local card swap. Our theme was "yellow", so somewhere on the card we had to use yellow. I had a bunch of yellow CS and used that for the base. Then I found some cute DCWV stack paper, ran a piece of white CS through my Cuttlebug using D'Vine Swirls and swiped a yellow ink pad over the swirls. Then I traced some of the swirls with Diamond Stickles and added the sentiment using a $1 stamp from Michael's and colored in the the flower with blue and yellow marker and added a dab of glitter in the center. I also distressed the edges of the sentiment and inked it yellow. I found some blue and yellow satin ribbon in my stash and finished it off.

On Friday I made this Thank You card for our weekly card challenge at Secret Scrapper. The challenge is to make a card and ink the edges of it, either all around the card or around the sentiment.

For this card I ran a piece of Bazzill brown through my Cuttlebug using the Thank You embossing folder, I stamped the "thanks" with a sentiment from my Image Tree foam stamps. Then I took some coordinating pink and green CS and flower paper from my stash (i think it is all from DCWV!), mounted it and used my Stampin' Up ticket punch to punch the corners.

I also made some cards for our May card swap at Secret Scrapper, but I can't show those yet until we swap the cards! Hee Hee! Well, I'm off to make some more cards and finish an album, have a great night everyone!
