I finally made stuff!!! Here is a coaster box that I made (with the help of my mom!):
I found the rest of my markers and filled it up today. I found the tutorial here. It was easy, once my mom cut the dividers for me!!!
So on Thursday my niece wanted to spend the night to make "boxes" (decorate and alter those $1 paper meche boxes from Michael's). It's her favorite thing to do when she comes over. She comes in my room and ooggles all of the stuff I have and calls me an "artist". It's too cute. Anyhow, when she came over she gave me this:It says "April she is a Artist and she mack's a lot of a box. She is rocks so good!". She drew several pictures to show how we make our boxes. The first picture shows the letters we use, then the "dryer" (the embossing gun that we use sometimes to speed up the paint drying process!), then the stamps, paper, strips (of paper) and the boxes. She was so proud that she made this, so I immediately taped it in my craft room next to my computer! So needless to say we spent all day yesterday making boxes, going shopping and taking a long needed nap!
I made this card a while ago and was waiting for someone I knew to have a baby so I could give it to her, and the time came! Melissa had her baby on Thursday, so this is going in the mail tomorrow:
CONGRATS MELISSA!!!!
I can't show you the other stuff I am working on just yet! It's the July Card Kit for Secret Scrapper, and let me tell ya, it's got some GREAT cards in it! I spent the majority of today cutting and folding supplies for 40 cards, and making the examples. I also did some shopping today. When the hubby came home he had a big box in his hands! I wasn't expecting anything so I was surprised! It was from Mary Croppins! I had just placed my order on Wednesday and got it today! They have some GREAT stuff there, and they had EVERYTHING on their site 40% off, and shipping was a flat $4.95 (I was just on their today and the sale is still going on!)--I stocked up on some Bazzill Wings, Queen and Co. sequins flowers/brads, some Heidi Swapp bling flowers, chipboard letters, miscellaneous paper, and some Bazzill Bling. Check them out, not only do they have good prices but they have QUICK shipping! Oh, they also threw in some cardstock monograms tucked in my receipt, an "A" frame and a couple "H"'s.....how appropriate!!!! They packaged the paper very nicely, and wrapped in in tissue paper with a pretty sticker on it.
Ok, I'm pooped! Off to bed.
