Hi Everyone! This was a busy weekend for us! On Saturday we had our niece spend the night, and it was just cool enough outside to have a fire and eat some good ol' fashioned smores. Wish I would have remembered to get the camera out! We had a great time. Tonight we met up with Darrin's family and ate at Olive Garden to celebrate Darrin's birthday. The food was DELISH as always! Wednesday is Darrin's birthday, but we decided to celebrate early with his family.
This upcoming week is going to be really busy....Tuesday I have a luncheon with several co-workers with our Vice President to celebrate our 5 years with the company. Wednesday night I have an uber cool dinner with some co-workers at Maestro's in north Scottsdale....I was chosen to receive an award in my department and I guess it's a pretty special event....only a very small few were chosen so that's really neat! It's on the night of Darrin's birthday, so I positioned it to him as a free meal at a schmancy fancy restaurant! :) Then on Thursday the mentors at work are going to a team builder at the State Fair, and that is going to be SO MUCH FUN!
Ok, now on to the creative stuff!
I made this card for Darrin's birthday, and for Beate's sketch challenge on her blog. I am very happy with the way it came out, and absolutely love this sketch. I'll definitely keep it on had for future cards! This card was made with ALL SCRAPS....something I never do...but I am really trying hard to use up scraps before cutting new paper. There is yellow glitter on the flame of the candle to give it a little "bling".
****If you happen to live in Arizona, and are in need of a craft table, check this out. :) I have used this table for a couple years, and today I bought one of those 6 foot banquet tables at Target, so I no longer need this. It's appx. 4 ft by 2 1/2 ft by 2 ft. It's a great length to scrap on....I personally just needed more room since I am such a messy scrapper. If you are interested, please drop me an email. I am not charging for this, but you would need to come and pick it up and take it away. There is no major damage done to it what so ever, just some scratches and acrylic paint on the top of it, that I'm sure can be easily cleaned off with vinegar or Goo Gone. :)
