WOW, I just saw that I passed 10,000 hits, and I just started this blog a little less than a year ago. So to celebrate I will be offering up some CANDY!
In order to be entered into the drawing, leave a comment on this post telling me what your favorite thing about the Christmas season is. My favorite thing (in addition to spending time with my family) is going around to the homes in my neighborhood and checking out the lights!!! We usually take the dog for a walk at night and check out the houses. We'll also check out the newspaper to see who has the MEGA displays and drive around and take pics.
When I get home tonight, I will post a pic of what is up for grabs. It will be a nice mix.......and I may even throw in an album from Secret Scrapper! my favorite thing about hte holidays is when they are all over! Insane people are very depressing and I like peace and quiet and solitary stuff in the winter. When is spring?
I love the holiday treats - pretty decorated cookies, yummy dinners, and of course seeing my son's face when he walks downstairs on Christmas morning :)

I can't pass up any holiday treat! Count me in! We love to get some of the family together a cruise around the city and look at all the display of lights. I love the ones that the whole neighborhood decorates. It's just so cheery.

Ooohhh! I love those Secret Scrapper albums!! I love shopping for gifts for everyone. All year, I write down ideas of what people may want so it is easier to find stuff that people would like.

For me the Christmas season starts with the madhouse shopping the day after Thanksgiving. We have 3 different family celebrations, my family, my husband's family and our immediate family---fun at each one of them.

We also go around and do the xmas lights. We started the tradition years ago when my teenagers were 3 & 5. (they are now 19 & 17 with an added younger sister, 12). We go on xmas eve. It used to be a good way to get them to fall asleep, now there's no chance of that...especially since both of them can drive US now...LOL

My favorite things about the hoildays would have to be the smell of fresh pine. I know it sounds silly but I love the smell when you vacumn the pine needles that fall from the tree..

Driving around looking at lights has always been a favorite of mine also! This year the drive will be shorter because gas is soooo expensive now...we're almost at $4 a gallon (diesel)....ugh!

I have loved seeing the faces of my children on Christmas morning, and now am blessed to see the faces of my four grand-boys every Christmas morning. And I love going to midnight Mass. But really...I love EVERYTHING about Christmas!
wow quite a few people wanting Candy! LOL I cant believe I have gotten over a 1000 myself just starting in Sept.
My favorite thing to do is to go to the APS light parade. 2 yrs ago I stood in front of the channel 15 news cameras so you could see me most of the night with all my flashing lights LOL. But my most fav is being in Colorado and the rocky Mountain news does a 2 full page spread on all the homes decked out with a map and we would drive around for about 5 hrs looking at them all. Thats when the kids where little I miss doing that with all of us.
My fav thing is watching the christmas trees everywhere around. It's a fabulous sight, and so darn peaceful..I try to go in early to miss the crowd.

I think that my favorite thing is the decked out homes driving around randomly we take one or two nites in december and just randomly drive all over neighborhoods looking at the decorations... with a hot cup of java or course.. usually see the boats light parade as well so I guess the lightes you would say along with the glee of seeing the kids face light up with all the lights.. and such...
My favorite part of the Christmas season besides spending time with family and friends is... Boy I have soo many! First of all the cool weather and snow, The Christmas decorations, the crowded stores and last but not least the crafting and card making!

I love Christmas music! There is a radio station out here that plays nothing but Christmas music from Thanksgiving to Christmas Day! Drives my husband crazy.

My favorite thing about the holidays is being together with all my family. We all have such a fun time, and that makes all of the holiday stress worth it!
Besides being with my family, which would have been my number one answer, I enjoy singing Christmas songs a church, and looking at all the lights in town or nearby. I love sharing the magic of the holiday with my 3 little grandchildren more than anything else. I love Christmas music, church service, giving gifts, piling everyone in the car to see the best light displays, and a big plate of homemade cookies & candies:)
My most favorite thing about X-mas is the gift of giving. We have a huge family and we all make little treats and then exchange baskets so that each home gets one from the family. Now that I have 3 little ones of my own, I love to see the excitement in their eyes as they learn that it is important to give than receive.

My favorite thing is singing Christmas Songs at church. :) If we sing O Holy Night I just die of joy.
