Here is the cover to the chunky fabric book I'm making:
Sorry about the darkness. I'll take better pics when I'm done!
Pages 1 and 2. I will add more to it, I just didn't feel like trucking back and forth from my kitchen(where I brought all my stuff out to) to my scrap room to get other supplies.
It'll be a fairy book when I'm done.
And here is my hair...braided....courtesy of Darrin:
For our new recipe night tonight I made taco salad bowl, courtesy of Kraft Food & Family Spring 2008. Although I did tweak it a bit, here is the recipe from the page:
20 min
20 min
4 servings
PREHEAT oven to 425°F. Crumple four large sheets of foil to make four 3-inch balls; place on baking sheet. Place 1 tortilla on top of each ball; spray tortilla with cooking spray. Sprinkle evenly with 1/2 tsp. of the chili powder. Bake 6 to 8 min. or until tortillas are golden brown. (Tortillas will drape over balls as they bake.)
MEANWHILE, brown meat with carrots and remaining 2-1/2 tsp. chili powder in large nonstick skillet on medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Add 1/2 cup of the salsa; cook 2 min. or until heated through, stirring occasionally.
MIX mayo and remaining 2 Tbsp. salsa in large bowl. Add salad greens and tomatoes; toss to coat. Spoon into tortilla shells; top with meat mixture, cheese and cilantro.
So here is what I did to make it my own. I did make the bowls as directed, but I only added lettuce, hamburger mixed with a packet of Kroger taco seasoning (THE BEST!), refried beans, a dab of sour cream and some fresh grated cheddar. It was decent......I wasn't too thrilled, either because I wasn't really hungry, or because I didn't do it like they did. LOL. Who knows.
Alright, i have to be up early, my team at work is going on our first team builder as a new team, and I have a long day tomorrow. NIGHT!
