Today I finished up my next set of Rolodex cards to be swapped out. The theme is numbers, so somewhere on the card must be numbers. I found these stencils and figured I would use those as the focal point. Each stencil was sprayed with either a Tim Holtz color wash or a mix of water and acrylic paint. I found a set of really shimmery multi colored eyeshadow at the dollar store and used some of it to give each stencil shimmer. Then I backed it onto a piece of multi colored canvas. I found some various stickers and embellishments and put them on the card as well. Then I stippled a heart onto it and filled it with glitter. The edges of the card are painted in acrylic paint. I had a few ideas running through my head before settling on this idea. I really like how they turned out!
Next I will start working on our funky card swap. We must alter a different card, so I chose to do business cards and Uno cards. I am doing an extra set to give to my best friend. :) I am really looking forward to getting this book back in a couple months so I can see what everyone else in the group did!
I am off work until Monday so I've been catching up on creating, housework and homework. I haven't made us a dinner in a couple weeks, so tonight we are having shish kebobs, salad and fondue for dessert. Tomorrow will probably be spaghetti and meatballs. :)
