So today I decided to get a pair of my scissors sharpened. LOL. That statements sounds funny to me without there being an explanation of these scissors and the trouble I've had getting them sharpened, right? LOL. Let me explain. I have a very old pair of full metal pinking shears that belonged to my grandmother. I was able to get a hold of them through my mom a while ago, and my grandmother apparantly never got them cleaned or sharpened. So needless to say they wouldn't even cut through paper. I called Joann's one day a couple months ago and they told me when the sharpener guy would be in. I went down there and was informed that he was only there Tues/Wed, and when I called they told me he was there Tues/Thurs. He was only there from 9-4, and working 8-5 almost every day it made it challenging to get down there when he was.
Fast forward to today. I work 12-9 so I figured today would be the perfect time to take my scissors down there. He fixed them up in about 15 minutes and was actually surprised to see such an old pair of scissors. I was definitely one happy person when I tested them out and they worked like a charm! So in addition to getting my shears sharpened, I picked up some Mallo Cups . Funny thing is, I can't find these anywhere else but Joann's. Oh, they are heavenly!
So that's it in a nutshell. I just finished a couple cards for April's card challenges over at Scrappin' Coast 2 Coast. They will be posted tonight so come on over and check them out. All of the challenges that the other ladies are hostessing will be up by tomorrow, so if you're up for a challenge--come on over!
