**ETA**
Sorry folks., I had the incorrect link to Beth's blog. It's fixed, so go check her out! :)
Happy New Year everyone!! To celebrate and ring in the new year, Unscripted Sketches is having a blog hop!
I don't do resolutions for the new year. I find that I can't stick to them. What I will continue to do in 2010 that I started in 2009 is to recylce, reuse and repurpose as much as I can so that I am not going out and buying craft stuff all the time like I used to. I think I did pretty good in 2009 compared to years past. :) The sign that I am holding above represents that in a way....I used scrap ribbon, homemade shimmer mist, a cricut that was gifted to me, misc. found objects, markers, paint....all a representation of how what you have on hand can be used to create art.
Now, onto the blog hop!!! To keep things going, check out my fellow design team partner Beth and see what she has to say about ringing in 2010!
Some of my fellow design team members are offering up some blog candy, and I am going to do the same. I made a trip to Michael's today and picked up a couple of the new Studio G. acrylic stamps and a mini pack of colored pencils...and they will be given to one random winner! All you need to do is comment on this post and tell me what you plan on either changing in 2010 or if you have some type of resolution. (Only 1 comment per person please). I will use Random.org to choose the winner.
Thanks for visiting!

Great sign, that cool you made it from what you already had on hand. I've been trying to do that. It's amazing what you can make things with if you use your imagination. I plan to continue that in the new year.
I agree with the recycle reuse renew also. I am HORRIBLE about buying craft goodies, I could have bought another computer or two with what I spent just in four months getting Cmas gifts together so I will try to join you in the RRR (except for Cricut carts!) Happy new Year!
I TOO DON'T DO RESOLUTIONS BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE DOING FINE JUST THE WAY YOUARE! BEST WISHES IN THE NEW YEAR!MY PLANS FOR THE NEW YEAR ARE BEING TRUE TO MYSELF AND FOLLOWING MY DREAMS!
Great plans and Happy New Years to you!
Hallo April,
happy new year from germany...in 2010 I will make more sports ;)
ILONA
I didn't get to do much crafting last year as my craft stuff is all disorganized and hard to find. My goal this year is to simplify and get organized.
Happy New Year!
HAHA I don't do resolutions either...too easy to fail. It's been great playing with you at US and I look forward to another creative year in 2010. Hugs, Marcy
Happy New Year April, may 2010 be good for you.
I plan to craft outside of my box this year and see where it takes me.
Yeah! I plan to:
1. take better care of my hands that are so easily irritated by paints, glues and other art liquids
2. use more of what I have in the warehouse, I mean studio, and buy less
3. spend more time following through on the ideas in my idea book and less time messing around with other distractions
4. read more of what I buy instead of setting it aside until the distractions quiet down and then never utilizing them like I had planned
I love that sign. My resolutions are on my blog
Have a good 2010!
i love your recycled book - very cool :D
i want to try new techniques and only print pics for projects i am going to do (not print everything) :D
Happy New Year April! Love your pic and your goal to reuse!!!
I don't really make resolutions, but I do make goals. One that is most important to me is to just generally be healthier in 2010. Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! Great to work with you on US this year! Awesome sign! Loved that your were thrifty in making it! :)
Hugs,
Hollie
Awesome and I think we all want to use and not do what we do.
I know I don't impulse like I use to I think it out a bit more. Look at me driving you crazy with the sew machine.
Thanks so much for your help
I hope your back is better and sorry that you caught it from me lol
happy 2010
I'm working on being consistent with the small stuff!!! Have a great new year!
Happy New Year and good luck with your New years resolution!
What a fun idea! I am going to make a list of things I want to improve upon in 2010 rather than make any resolutions. We all know that doesn't work. LOL Happy New Year!
Hi April!! Love the picture!! Happy 2010!!
something I want to change- is the way I eat....eat better
I don't usually make resolutions but I'm going to keep working on using it up, tossing it out, or give it away.
I love your 3R's. My goal is to be nicer to me and stop "Shoulding on Me." Everyone tells me I am to hard on myself so I am going to try and be nice to me. Wish me luck, at 57 it's hard to change. LOL
Happy New Year!
I make resolutions for fun, but don't stress to much on them. I am wanting to change my diet a bit & lose some weight, organize (always a mission of mine) & scrapbook more!
Great post, April! I love your goals and plans for the upcoming year. I have a few of the same myself! One of my goals is to "Not sweat the small stuff"! Happy New Year!
I hope nobody else follows your lead or Michael's will go out of business--lol. I don't do resolutions at the beginning of the year because I can't decide which to focus on and then I don't remember them anyway. :)
My resolution is always the same,to get fit and healthy.I hope I can achieve it this year as my weight is out of control. Our rental does not allow pets.I think having a dog is the only way I will exercise. If any of you lovely crafters have any weight loss tips please pass them on.Happy New Year to all.my blog
cute blog!! happy new year!
Happy New Year April, may 2010 be good for you. I do the same thing as you. I stopped buying so much stuff and now i use what I have.
That is an excellent resolution, April! All too often we spend more time shopping for supplies and then hoard them and then turn around and not use them. Happy 2010 GF!
Cute sign and picture!
