On my lunch hour today I spent some time putting some scrap paper together and making a "collage" of sorts. I took them to a color copier at Walmart and made some copies. I don't really know what I'll do with these, but they would make fun backgrounds for something, right? LOL! I also scored at Walmart.....they had a great selection of fabric on clearance so I snagged a few yards (well, 7 in all), and a bunch of remnants. Have I told you how much I love finding bargains?!? I just wish the Walmart closer to my house had a fabric department.
It's my long week, working 12-9. It's actually not bad, because I can finally take my pinking shears to Joann's and have them cleaned and sharpened. The man is only there Tue/Wed from 9-4, so I am taking them there tomorrow and will pick them up Wednesday. I have a pair of shears that were my grandma's and when she passed away, she left them in a sewing machine that was stored at my parent's place for a while. When they shipped it to a relative, my mom cleaned out the drawers of the stand it was attached to and found them. They are really heavy and really nice. I would hate to not be able to use them, and from looking at them they haven't been cleaned or sharpened at all. Hopefully it doesn't cost too much to get them repaired...I would hate to have to spend a ton of $$ into them when realistically I could buy a new pair for less than $20. We'll see!
